Friday: Jan 08, 2020 KENNARDS HIRE FAMILY FUN DAY 8 TAB RACES Gates Open at 12.00 noon

*1st Race @ 1.00pm & ALL Races carry a BOBS Silver Bonus available up to $9,625.00 + Race 3 has a BOBS Extra Bonus $5,625.00 Track likely Good 4/Soft 5 and Rail out +3.5m from 500m to 300m into a Cut/Away

*RACE 1 @ 1.00pm AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL FIELD DAYS MAIDEN HCP (1000m) - Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

A terrific card across deep and wide fields gets rolling with the maiden sprinters. Improving Scone mare 7. INFERNO MISS (Stephen Jones/Grant Buckley; 55.5kg) is ready to win fourth-up with blinkers going on. Hit the line hard to miss by a whisker in a handy maiden at Dubbo, and right at peak fitness.

*MAIN DANGERS: Well bred metro filly 10. Zattastar debuts off two progressive trials, but has to overcome a tricky draw. Mudgee 5YO 1. Raised To The Max had support on debut at Dubbo, and found the line well into the placings with a gap to the rest. Tough draw is a hurdle. Expect improvement from 3YO 6. Black Meteor who ran home okay first-up at Bathurst, and is drawn to get a soft run on the inside; while Canberra mare 13. Serb Alert hit the line nicely resuming at the Sapphire Coast, and maps to get plenty of cover.

Likely Tempo: Solid to Good

My Betting Attack: INFERNO MISS to Win

*RACE 2 @ 1.35pm KITCHENS & CABINETS MAIDEN PLATE (1400m) - Set Weights; Apprentices Can Claim:

Up in distance we go at set weights, with a dominant formline in play. Progressive Warwick Farm filly 11. DAWN FLIGHT (Jarrod Austin/Shaun Guymer; 55.5kg) rattled home late same weight and trip second-up to almost reel in a runaway leader. Right at peak now from the inside gate, and a senior and stronger rider goes on.

*MAIN DANGERS: Rival 'Farm 4YO 7. Zounate was ordinary late resuming in that same maiden after travelling well to the turn, but fitter now and a natural improver with gear changes made. Another metro visitor and place-getter from that same race, filly 14. Twice On Sunday can go close at third start with blinkers applied. Include in exotics Bathurst mare 10. Zoo Station who is looking for more ground at her third start.

Likely Tempo: Fair to Solid

My Betting Attack: DAWN FLIGHT to Win and Trifecta: 7,11,14/7,10,11,14/7,10,11,14

*RACE 3 @ 2.10pm ON-TRAC AG CLASS 2 HCP (1400m) - Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

It doesn't get much easier here, although progressive Rosehill 5YO gelding 2. NUKE (Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou/Ms Alysha Collett; 61.5kg) is well placed second-up after closing late resuming in a provincial BM 64, and the winner of that has since won again. Up sharply in weight, but has superior upside.

*MAIN DANGERS: Loved the way local 5YO gelding 7. Vaquero attacked the line from well back here second-up, and gets out to his pet trip carrying 1.5kg less. Got plenty of time for improving Hawkesbury mare 4. Whitchety Grub who stuck on okay resuming in a deeper race at Muswellbrook, and won second-up last prep. Drawn to get a soft trail. Rival 'Farm 4YO 1. Rebel Bro can be ridden closer here from the better gate after failing to hit the line in that same race as the top selection when unwanted in betting. Poorly treated under 62kg, but has won two of his last four.

Likely Tempo: Solid

My Betting Attack: NUKE to Win and Box Exacta: 2,4,7

*RACE 4 @ 2.45pm TLE HOMETECH ORANGE CLASS 1 HCP (1000m) - Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Testing race over the short course with plenty of chances. Keen on 3YO Scone gelding 3. RANUNCULA (Stephen Jones/Grant Buckley; 58.5kg) who has been freshened up coming back sharply in trip, and down in grade. Charged late to win his maiden impressively at home two runs back before just even in a stronger CL2. Only needs to slot in from the tricky draw to charge over the top.

*MAIN DANGERS: Goulburn 4YO speedster 15. Fat Gecko has only been run down late in two runs, either side of a tougher Highway task over further when he dropped out. Draws to find the front, and again will take running down. Improving Gulgong mare 5. Sniper Excels was all at sea on a Heavy 10 at Scone first-up off a seven week absence, and can improve sharply here back on firmer footing. Only career win so far came second-up. Include six-year-old stablemate 8. One More Poet who bolted in a weaker race first-up, and drops in weight.

Likely Tempo: Good

My Betting Attack: RANUNCULA to Win

*RACE 5 @ 3.25pm SOUTHERN CROSS AUSTEREO CLASS 1 HCP (1280m) - Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Another big field, with a few serious chances headed by smart Warwick Farm 3YO 4. SOLVA (Bjorn Baker/Mitchell Bell; 58kg) who impressed after having some trouble getting clear before sweeping home to win his maiden here first-up. Has been kept on the fresh side avoiding wet tracks, and was scratched from a stronger arce at Muswellbrook on Thursday to be saved for this.

*MAIN DANGERS: Progressive filly 2. Crazy Train can peak here third-up from a good draw, with winkers going on. Hit the line well at Goulburn, and three weeks between run suits. Was also preferred here to Muswellbrook. Include Gulgong mare 8. Missile Rain who ran on hard at Dubbo three weeks back, and desperately wants further. Mudgee 4YO 3. Harley Fat Boy resumes with no public trials, but normally comes to hand quickly, and is much better placed coming back from Highway grade at the end of last prep. Scone mare 9. Always Hot and Gulgong mare 7. Ginger's Voice are best of the rest.

Likely Tempo: Solid

My Betting Attack: SOLVA to Win and Quinella: 2 and 4

*RACE 6 @ 4.05pm ANGULLONG WINES BENCHMARK 58 HCP (1000m) - Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Very even sprint affair here. Been waiting more than 13 months for the return of ex Gold Coast-based 5YO 3. BUZZONI (Dean Mirfin/Chad Lever; 60kg) now trained out of Bathurst. Has looked terrific cruising home in two lead-up trials at this track, and trainer has been very patient avoiding wet tracks to bring him back. Draws well, and powered home to win under a big weight first-up last time.

*MAIN DANGERS: Warwick Farm mare 2. For Love can improve sharply second-up after doing her best work late behind a smart one in a stronger provincial race. Keep safe Canberra mare 6. Polyxena who dropped out resuming in a handy BM 60 at home, but should find this a little easier coming back in distance, despite the tough barrier.

Likely Tempo: Solid to Good

My Betting Attack: BUZZONI to Win

*RACE 7 @ 4.40pm ORANGE VET HOSPITAL BENCHMARK 58 HCP (1600m) - Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Content to take the value here about 4YO Warwick Farm mare 2. GRACE AUGUSTA (David Pfieffer/Ms Alysha Collett; 59.5kg) third-up getting out to her best distance. Worked home okay in a good provincial BM 64 last start, and can settle even closer here over this trip.

*MAIN DANGERS: The name might end up saying it all here with promising 3YO filly and likely short-priced favourite 9. Too Much Class who put them away second-up in Canberra as a hot favourite after just missing here on debut. Draws to get a charmed run right behind the speed. Mudgee mare 8. Poor Sam was solid in the market when finding the line third-up here; while include in exotics improving 4YO mare 5. Saturn who struggled at Newcastle last start, but she did win a CL1 here three runs ago when heavily backed.

Likely Tempo: Reasonable

My Betting Attack: GRACE AUGUSTA Each Way & Quinella: 2 and 9

*RACE 8 @ 5.15pm KENNARDS HIRE BENCHMARK 58 HCP (1280m) - Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

Tough and even sprint to bring us home, and despite the wide barrier, keen on improving Bathurst mare 2. SMART DECISION (Roy McCabe/Grant Buckley; 60kg) first-up. Hasn't officially trialled, but is a fresh winner and will be allowed to drift back and charge home.

*MAIN DANGERS: Dubbo mare 7. Gossip can go right on with the job after zooming home from a mile back to win a CL1 here, and again draws to get plenty of cover and be saved up for one final surge. Tough Mudgee 8YO 11. Northern Conqueror has only won four from 70 starts, but placed a further 22 times. Struggled in a stronger grade last start, but missed by a nose hitting the line here in a similar race prior.

Likely Tempo: Solid
